New ‘Doctor Strange 2’ Trailer Teases X-Men & Possibly The Savage Land Too

Director Sam Raimi returns to the world of Marvel Comics with Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, further exploring The Multiverse after things like Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home has introduced audiences to the idea of variants alongside many different universes within the established Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The new trailer released during the Super Bowl might confirm some previous rumors about the Doctor Strange sequel.

Doctor Strange seemingly meets a variant of Professor X played by Patrick Stewart, as his voice is unmistakably used in the trailer saying “We should tell him the truth.” Is the Illuminati going to a version of the TVA in the film?

But, that might not be the only X-Men-related tease in this new footage.

We see a glimpse of a T-Rex in a quick shot that might be teasing The Savage Land, a location like Madripoor that has connections to the X-Men comic books.

Once upon a time, Marvel Studios was trying to develop a Ka-Zar movie focused on a Tarzan-like superhero that lives in the Savage Land. The X-Men location is hidden from the world in Antarctica and has all sorts of creatures living there including dinosaurs.

In Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary. “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.

The Doctor Strange sequel will debut on May 6th.
