‘WandaVision’s Paul Bettany & Kathryn Hahn Keen To Return At Some Point To The MCU

While their future fates in the Marvel Cinematic Universe seem to be up-in-the-air, WandaVision actors Paul Bettany and Kathryn Hahn are willing to return if eventually called upon by Marvel Studios.

Kathryn recently spoke with The New York Times, revealing she is indeed open to the idea of Agatha’s return but hasn’t heard anything from the studio.

Will we see more of Agatha Harkness in the Marvel universe?

HAHN: “I have no idea. They keep it really tight.

Well if it’s something you want, I hope you get that opportunity.

HAHN: “Oh, me too. I want to. Now that I have a taste of it, I’m like, ahh. I really, really love it.”

Paul Bettany was a little more blunt when asked by Esquire if he’d be willing to play Vision forever.

Are you going to play Vision forever?

BETTANY: “I love Vision. Yes, I’m in.”

Spoilers ahead.

The Disney+ series ultimately ended with Hahn’s Agatha Harkness being stuck in her nosy neighbor role Agnes in Westview, New Jersey. Bettany’s Vision was erased when the Hex came down and Hayward/S.W.O.R.D.’s reanimated version of Vision (white version) simply flew into the clouds, his return seems extremely likely given he didn’t get a conclusion and Wanda might attempt to resurrect her family via The Multiverse.

Kevin Feige confirmed not too long ago they don’t have current plans to give WandaVision a second season, so we would have to assume the pair might show up in the films down the line.

We know that Wanda’s journey as the Scarlet Witch will be continued into Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, which is currently filming in the United Kingdom at Longcross Studios.

James Gunn Confirms London Shoot For ‘Guardians of The Galaxy 3’ Later This Year & Debunks Old Adam Warlock Casting Rumor

Yesterday, a rumor was making the rounds that casting for the role of Adam Warlock was already happening for Guardians of The Galaxy 3 with a “Zac Efron-type” and James Gunn took to Twitter to debunk that claim rather quickly. The filmmaker is currently shooting his HBO Max series Peacemaker in Vancouver and clarifies there isn’t any casting underway, which makes sense since he’s on WarnerMedia’s dime at the moment.

This actually isn’t the first time James Gunn has addressed this Zac Efron/Adam Warlock rumor on social media as he debunked this exact thing on Instagram back in 2019. Suggesting that Adam Warlock wasn’t even going to be in the film as this rumor seemed to originally come from artist Boss Logic, about three years ago.

He did have a more fun update, as Gunn confirmed that filming on the sequel would be taking place later this year in London. While the filmmaker shot The Suicide Squad and Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2 in Atlanta, the original Guardians film was shot in the United Kingdom. Ant-Man 3 and Captain Marvel 2 are also expected to shoot in the United Kingdom in 2021.

Marvel/Disney hasn’t given Guardians 3 an official release date but is said to be out sometime in 2023.

New ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ Set Photos Include First Looks At Jane Foster & Valkyrie Hanging Out In New Asgard

We recently saw set photos from Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love & Thunder that confirmed the return of the Loki play along with Matt Damon, Luke Hemsworth, and Melissa McCarthy being part of the scene. Also, we saw multiple members of the Guardians of The Galaxy shooting scenes as well but looks like those will be more brief any originally thought.

Some new photos from the Daily Mail reveal Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster aka Lady Thor with what looks like some Earthbound Asgard Warriors, potentially from New Asgard. They also include the first look at Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, who is wearing a pinstripe suit in the photos. It certainly looks like the scenes are taking place in New Asgard and hint towards Jane’s transformation into Lady Thor.

The Asgardian guards/soldiers in the set photos have an interesting Earthbound military look to them but you can notice some are still using spears and shields.

I guess we’ll have to wait to see Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher as the character might end-up being motion-capture. We’ll likely know for sure if he’s spotted in a motion-capture suit.

It remains to be seen if we’re dealing with The Multiverse in Thor: Love & Thunder, given that it’s supposed to be a big part of Phase 4 and the Loki series will seemingly be the first project covering it in any real depth via Time Variance Agency.

SPOILERS: A Rundown of The ‘WandaVision’ Finale & What It Means

THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS WANDAVISION FINALE SPOILERS

Wanda finally becomes the Scarlet Witch leading to giving Agatha Harkness a spell while making her the noisy neighbor in Westview until she needs her help in the future. This is after it’s revealed that Harkness wants to steal her powers and has the Darkhold, an extremely dangerous book of spells. Maximoff also gives up her false reality which included the twins and Vision, as she finally admits what she is doing is wrong. The second button looked like a scene directly from Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange In Multiverse of Madness, as Wanda might end up using the Darkhold (potentially doubles-down that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t MCU canon) to bring back her children into reality from the Multiverse and potentially leading to terrible consequences.

Evan Peters’ “Pietro Maximoff” wasn’t Quicksilver as he was some random Westview citizen named Ralph Bohner, which means that Marvel is indeed moving forward with a reboot of X-Men instead of adding the Singerverse to the MCU. Plenty of fans assumed that Peters would become the new Quicksilver and that the series would somewhat introduce Mutants, that didn’t happen.Ultimately, the Multiverse wasn’t explored which many believed would explain Peters taking over the Quicksilver role.

While Monica Rambeau is approached by a Skrull to seemingly join off-world S.W.O.R.D. in the first button scene that most likely going to be connected to Secret Invasion, but we’ll have to see if her powers are active outside of the Hex and if she’ll be in that series alongside Captain Marvel 2.

The White Vision brainwashed by S.W.O.R.D. director Hayward didn’t end up killing the other version of Vision, but just left the Hex and it wasn’t revealed where he went. I think Vision just leaving annoyed a bunch of people because we didn’t see what his fate was and he was the big “cameo” Paul Bettany was teasing then really didn’t do much in the end.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see how Wanda will be interacting with Doctor Strange in the sequel along with how the Multiverse comes together. Most of us are likely a little confused by all this stuff didn’t catch the attention of people like Strange and Baron Mordo, given all the magic and use of the Darkhold. Strange and the Ancient One previously being established as omnipresent characters that are seemingly aware of everything going on.

Marvel’s ‘X-Men’ Reboot Being Developed Under The Title ‘The Mutants’?

A new tidbit from The Illuminerdi suggests that Marvel Studios is going to be calling their X-Men reboot The Mutants. Something that had long been suspected because of the high-volume of female characters in the franchise and some calls that the studio somewhat ditch the “X-Men” name for the new big screen incarnation.

The Illuminerdi has learned of a Marvel Studios-led project produced by Marvel CCO Kevin Feige entitled, The Mutants. It’s currently being developed as a feature film and is intended to be a reboot of the X-Men franchise.

There has been speculation since the merger that Disney the studio could go with a gender neutral name for the franchise and seems fitting since most audiences know exactly what a mutant is along with the term’s association with the X-Men.

While the site is known for posting correct information it’s just a rumor for the moment as Disney hasn’t officially announced anything concerning their X-Men reboot. Names of writers or a director involved with the project weren’t mentioned, so its unclear what stage of development The Mutants actually is at this time.

Fantastic Four is expected to be the studio’s first big reboot of the former Fox franchises as they announced Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts would be tackling that next for them. Given the announcement back in December, we have to assume that Fantastic Four would be the first to go into production unless Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 (doesn’t have a director officially) jumps the line.

Anthony Mackie Isn’t Sure What Happens With Sam After ‘The Falcon & The Winter Soldier’ – Season 2 Not Discussed By Marvel

During an interview with Variety, the outlet states that Anthony Mackie isn’t sure what will happen with Sam Wilson once the show finishes up as Marvel Studio hasn’t discussed the prospects of a Season 2 for The Falcon & The Winter Soldier and he’s not sure if he’ll automatically get his own feature films.

While bound by standard Marvel-grade secrecy, the actor confirms there have been no discussions of a second season for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. As the majority of domestic movie theaters remain closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, he is equally unaware of the theatrical prospects for his Falcon character — or the Captain he may become by the end of this Disney Plus run.

At one point, Anthony Mackie teased the series was meant to give Sam Wilson his origin to taking over the Captain America mantle before heading into the films and that suggested to us he would end up leading Captain America 4. However, we’ll actually have to see what ultimately happens with the Disney+ series and who ends up taking over for Steve Rogers. It doesn’t seem to be as cut-and-dry as we thought when the series was first announced but there have been toys with Wilson in his Captain America uniform that seems to support that Sam will indeed become the new Cap by the end of the show.

The Falcon & The Winter Soldier debuts on Disney+ starting on March 19th.

‘WandaVision’: Paul Bettany Regrets His Cameo Joke That May End Up Disappointing Fans

SPOILERS FOR WANDAVISION AHEAD

Tomorrow is the big finale of WandaVision and actor Paul Bettany seems to be coming clean about his cameo joke that went a little too far. As fans have been taking actors literally when speaking in various interviews with Paul Bettany setting up an actor he dreamed of working with and had “fireworks” on set with. Now, it’s looking like he was simply talking about working against himself and was sort of trolling with his comment.

Here is what Paul originally said to the Lights Camera Barstool podcast that sparked fan theories.

BETTANY: “I work with this actor that I’ve always wanted to work with and we have fireworks together, the scenes are great and I think people are going to be really excited. I’ve always wanted to work with this guy and the scenes are pretty intense.”

Now, Bettany spoke with Good Morning America and revealed he was joking in a previous interview amping-up a cameo when he was talking about interacting with himself as we’ll see two versions of Bettany’s Vision in this upcoming episode.

BETTANY: “You know, when you think something is going to be funny and you say it and actually panic about it? Which is what I did because fans started guessing who it might be and they were guessing people like Benedict Cumberbatch or Patrick Stewart. And I was thinking, ‘My God, that’s a good idea! They’re going to be so disappointed when they find out it’s me.’”

This wasn’t the first time an actor on WandaVision had sort of hyped-up a cameo as Monica Rambeau’s Teyonah Parris suggested the Aerospace Engineer reveal would be a big deal, leading to fans speculating endlessly with any assuming Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards or others would be showing up (based on nothing). However, that didn’t end up being as excited as the actress seemed to promise in those previous comments.

Anyways, the final episode drops tomorrow on Disney+ and is said to lead directly into Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange Into The Multiverse of Madness (currently filming in England).

Kevin Feige has stated that WandaVision currently doesn’t have plans for a second season.

‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ Set Photos Confirm The Loki Play Has Returned & Melissa McCarthy Spotted In Hela Costume

Filming has been underway on Thor: Love & Thunder in Sydney, Australia and some new set photos posted by the Daily Mail released confirmed that the Loki play is coming back with Melissa McCarthy taking a new part.

You can see in the set photos that Melissa McCarthy is in Cate Blanchett’s Hela costume along with the return of Matt Damon’s Loki and Luke Hemsworth’s Thor. This would suggest that Damon’s return was indeed to reprise this Asgardian actor character from Thor: Ragnarok and could mean that McCarthy is also playing another Asgardian.

New Asgard is expected to be a tourist location on Earth as revealed in concept art shown last year by director Taika Waititi during an Instagram stream. Which could explain the return of the play despite the destruction of Asgard.

Multiple Guardians of The Galaxy actors were also spotted on set previously.

‘Ant-Man 3’: Marvel Won’t Be Asking T.I. To Return As Dave

It looks like Marvel Studios won’t be bringing back rapper turned actor T.I. for their upcoming Ant-Man sequel as The Hollywood Reporter says the studios don’t have plans for him to return to the role of Dave in Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. This likely stems from fallout due to the multiple sexual abuse allegations made by women against the actor and his wife, but hasn’t been confirmed as a direct connection.

T.I. will not be returning for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The embattled rapper and actor is not a part of the cast, The Hollywood Reporter has learned, but it’s unclear whether this is related to recent accusations of sexual abuse he is facing alongside his wife, musician Tiny.

You can read more about those allegations in the THR’s report from the link below.

While Disney hasn’t given the sequel a release date, filming is set for this summer and they’ve been aiming for a spot in 2022.

Lovecraft Country actor Jonathan Majors is set to play Marvel Comics villain Kang The Conqueror, which could mean he’ll appear in multiple films.

Russo Brothers Say Sony Resisted Casting Tom Holland As ‘Spider-Man’ Due To His Age

During an interview with GQ Magazine to promote Cherry, directors Joe and Anthony Russo talked about originally casting Tom Holland for Captain America: Civil War and while Marvel Studios/Kevin Feige were onboard, Sony Pictures resisted. Apparently, Sony had some serious second thoughts about hiring a real teenager for Spider-Man.

JOE RUSSO: “We talked with Feige at Marvel about Holland and he got excited and then we went to Sony…And they were like, ‘Let’s think about it for a minute.’ We could tell we were meeting resistance from Sony. So we brought [Holland] back, brought him back, brought him back, and we were relentless in our pursuit of jamming him down the throat of the studio who owns this IP. It came down to a fight, yet Sony just kept dragging their feet.”

ANTHONY RUSSO: “Sony’s reservations were: ‘Are we loaning it? Or are we giving it to them to help us reinvent it in a way that adds value for us?’ It was the first time Spider-Man had ever been cast as an actual teenager, right? Which was very important to us; there was a distinct nervousness of casting a kid.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be Holland’s fifth and potentially his final film as the actor is aware that could be a possibility despite his openness to reprise the role. Tom has previously stated his Marvel Studios contract has ended and plans to take a break.

HOLLAND: “I really don’t know what the future holds, so I am just savouring every moment, as it could potentially be the last.”

Sony has set the release date for Spider-Man: No Way Home on December 17th, 2021.
