Hulk Might Appear In ‘Moon Knight’ After Mark Ruffalo Spotted At Oscar Isaac’s Hotel In Budapest

It’s starting to look like Marvel’s Moon Knight series might have a bigger connection to the Avengers than previously expected. Oscar Isaac’s Marc Spector has been a member of the Avengers in the comic books and even had a romance with fellow member Tigra.

Moon Knight, aka Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac), a mercenary who has numerous alter egos — cabbie Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant — in order to better fight the criminal underworld. But later he was established as being a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Most recently, the character was a consultant who dresses in all-white and goes by the name Mr. Knight.

How exactly we’ll see the character interact within the MCU beyond the solo has yet to be revealed. Fans had assumed he would be hanging out with more of the darker characters. However, we might see Spector’s Avengers connections explored sooner rather than later.

Over the weekend, a fan/celebrity spotter located in Budapest snapped and posted photos within hours of each other with both Oscar Isaac and Mark Ruffalo. The two photos taken at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest in Budapest, Hungary.

The city is where Marvel Studios are currently filming the Moon Knight series and Ruffalo had recently wrapped work on She-Hulk in Atlanta this month. I think the easy assumption here is that Ruffalo might be appearing in the show and sharing the same hotel in Budapest could suggest this, however, not confirmed. But rushing himself out to Budapest after just wrapping on She-Hulk in Atlanta could suggest he’s there for MCU-related reasons.

There were rumblings that WandaVision writer Peter Cameron was working on an unannounced Marvel Studios series, but Cameron himself refuted this on his Twitter account by clarifying that the project has been already announced by Marvel. We’re now hearing that project is actually Moon Knight and Cameron is expected to be contributing/writing on the superhero series alongside Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four, The Umbrella Academy) and Beau DeMayo (The Witcher, The Originals, The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf).

We previously reported on a rumbling that Emily VanCamp’s Sharon Carter might appear too.

The directing team consists of Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead.

Both Moon Knight and She-Hulk will debut sometime in 2022.

‘She-Hulk’: Ginger Gonzaga Confirms Role In Marvel Series – Reportedly Playing Jennifer Walters’ Best Friend

It looks like we finally have our second new cast member on Marvel’s She-Hulk series!

Deadline reports that Space Force and Kidding actress Ginger Gonzaga as been tapped to play Jennifer Walter’s best friend in the show, calling it a co-starring role. Emmy-winner Tatiana Maslany is playing Jennifer Walters, the defense lawyer cousin of Bruce Banner, who in the comics is given an emergency blood transfusion from Banner leading to her becoming a Hulk herself empowered with similar strength and abilities.

UPDATE: The actress has confirmed her involvement on Twitter.

Filming is said to begin this March in Atlanta, Georgia under the working title Libra.

Rick & Morty‘s Jessica Gao is the lead writer on the MCU series with Kat Coiro and Anu Valia directing.

The series is described as a superhero workplace comedy and will also feature Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Tim Roth making his triumphant return as The Incredible Hulk‘s Abomination. There are also expectations that other actors from that film be returning, but have yet to be confirmed officially. William Hurt‘s Thunderbolt Ross has been popping-up in multiple projects since The Incredible Hulk and almost appeared as his second comic book persona, Red Hulk, in Captain America: Civil War.

Kevin Feige has also teased other superhero cameos which some fans have assumed could mean either Peter Parker or Matt Murdock.

We should be getting a couple more casting additions before production starts.

She-Hulk is expected to begin airing on Disney+ in late summer/fall of 2022 given the extensive special effects needed for the multiple Hulks on the show.

Kevin Feige Confirms Marvel’s ‘She-Hulk’ Has 10-Episodes

Another tidbit from Collider’s conversation with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gives us an episode count for their upcoming She-Hulk series, which will be given 10-episodes, however shorter than normal at 30-minutes.

Some can be much longer than that. But She-Hulk, for instance, is being developed as 10 30-minute episodes.

She-Hulk is directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, with Jessica Gao serving as head writer.

Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany will be playing superhero defense lawyer Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk with Mark Rufflao reprising his role as Jennifer’s cousin Bruce Banner aka Hulk and the return of Incredible Hulk actor Tim Roth as villain Emil Blonsky aka The Abomination.

We’ll likely see more actors from Incredible Hulk make a return just like Roth.

There is an assumption that William Hurt could be reprising Thunderbolt Ross in the show, the character becomes Red Hulk in the comics, something that was considered for Captain America: Civil War but was ultimately cut during development stages. Ross has also been part of the newer incarnation of the Thunderbolts team alongside Deadpool, The Punisher, and Elektra.

In the comics, Walters needs a lifesaving blood transfusion from Banner leading to her becoming a Hulk herself. How Marvel is going to tackle her origin in the MCU remains to be seen and if they’re going to mimic the comic books that closely. Jennifer is also sort of big crossover character which has already been teased by Kevin Feige during the Disney Investor Day presentation leading many to believe fellow Marvel lawyer Matt Murdock might show up. The heroine had at one time been a member of both Fantastic Four and The Avengers, I’ll be curious if she’ll have a role to play in Jon Watts‘ reboot of Marvel’s first family.

Production on She-Hulk under the working title Libra is said to begin this March in Altanta, Georgia.

A release sometime in 2022 on Disney+ is expected given the amount of visual effects work needed to render multiple Hulks in the series, we’re thinking the release could skew late summer or fall of 2022.

Marvel In Talks With Kat Coiro To Direct ‘She-Hulk’ Series Pilot and Multiple Episodes – Will Also Executive Produce

Deadline reports that Marvel Studios is in talks with Kat Coiro to produce and direct multiple episodes of their upcoming She-Hulk series with Kat expected to start with the pilot (first episode). Her credits include Shameless, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Mick, Modern Family, It’s Always Sunny Philadelphia, and Dead To Me.

Jessica Gao from Rick & Morty is leading the group of writers working on the Marvel show.

Recent rumblings from both The Direct and The Illuminerdi are suggesting that filming could begin as early as February in Atlanta, Georgia. Which would suggest both had access to the same production grid, which may or may not be accurate given that’s five months from now and production dates aren’t terribly reliable these days given COVID-19 can ruin any sort of plans this far out.

Mark Rufflao is expected to reprise the role of Hulk/Smart Hulk in the series but has yet to be officially confirmed by Marvel Studios.

It has yet to be revealed who will be playing Bruce Banner’s cousin Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who becomes the female superhero known as She-Hulk.
